Our Story: Why build a new browser?

Today, nearly all enterprise work is done on a browser. Yet the browser was never designed for daily use, I serve as the customer, product manager, and developer all at once. This forces organizations to do expensive, complex, and unnatural things to the work environment, just to make it work for them.

So we asked ourselves — what if the browser was designed for the enterprise? And like that, The Enterprise Browser was born. Today, Island is used by the largest, most impactful enterprises worldwide to make work smooth, simple, and fundamentally secure.

It may be one small change, but sometimes changing one thing changes everything.
